Mission Trip for Chinggis Khaan(Mongolia) (Ver. English)

 Journey: Mongolia(Ulaanbaatar, Bayankhongor)

 Period: 7. 16. 2007. ~ 7. 21. 2007. (6 days)

 Trip Type: Group Mission Trip

Budget: On the time about US$ 1,200 (In the currency on July of 2007) (my payment $ 900, support from church $ 300)

This story is saying about the short term mission trip to Mongolia with the people of the CB Church which is located in Suwon 6 years ago.

I went to Ulaanbaatar, Bayangkhongor for 6 days from 16th July to 21th July.

The then mission trip made me study Russian language and interested in USSR culture.

Though the character of travel was 'mission', so this trip was religious, but I wrote this essay in the point of travelers and without the religious point as possible.

 When I stayed in Beijing.

While we stayed in Beijing, we sat down on the bottom and played the game 'Mafia'.

The airport was called 'Chinggis Khaan International Airport'

The name seemed majestic but the airport looked so poor against the great name.

After getting off from plane, we rode the mini bus and went to Bayankhongor directly.

It took about over half of a day to Bayankhongor.

We had a breakfast at the expressway rest.

 The menu was mutton stake.

The stake was too greasy and also quite salty.

When I rested outside, a sow was going in a circle around the yard.

When I photographed, the timing was well timely.

I photographed when she had a motion of all situations.

By the way, Seeing pigs in Mongolia was quite difficult.

At the yard, there was the dogs and the bulls.

Anyway, after finished breakfast, we moved to Bayankhongor.

On the noon, we stopped at the rest and had a lunch.

The lunch menu were the goat meat and the Sutaychay which is the Mongolian milk.

The lunch was bit better than the breakfast.

But, extraordinarily, I wanted more the Mongolian milk.

 I baldy hate milk...

Even I only nose at the milk, I feel sick.

The photos Mongolian step were post cards even I photographed roughly.

 The clouds looked so beautiful.

I had become a Mongolian! hehehe

Wow~ this goat looks so handsome!! hihihi

At the one of the corners, the goats were taking a rest.

The white one's face was a masterpiece.

Whom do you smile awkwardly to~?

 I could feel affectionate.

When I took the picture, I thought the photo could be used as the window wallpaper.

When it was about 8:00 P.M., we arrived in Bayankhongor.

Even though it was over about 9:00 P.M., the sky didn't get wholly dark.

If there was in Korea, the sky would get wholly dark.

 The village of Bayankhongor.

There is located in the south of Mongolia.

I took a motion and was taken a photo at the USSR mini bus on the road to nearby country!V

He is the local missionary, Baas Teun.

He looked like just a Korean.

His Korean skill was a bit poor but so good.

She is my best friend, Ulzii Khaltar, is missionary.

She was an entertainer once in the republic of Buryat.

She was interested in Korea but she didn't speak in Korea at all.

On that time, my English tongue was poor and I didn't understand Cyrillic letter at all.

  With the missionary Bass Teun.

The Mongolian children those live at country were clean and pure.

I got a permit of riding horse.

I rode the horse for the first time in my life.

I smiled while I rode the horse.

On that time, it was on chapel.

The children danced following Ulzii's movement.

 Our driver.

Sir, Stop to smoke and take of you. :)

I was sorry that the girl was a mute.

 With the pure Mongolian children.

A girl of center seemed mixed with Russian.

 Ulzii and Mongolian children.

 The children was pure. =)

 Skeleton of the sheep?

In the night, we became the one with Mongolian children as playing the soccer.

In the morning, with Ulzii. :)

Extraordinarily, it was rainning on the day.

 Inner the tradional house 'Gel'

I feel interested seeing the interior.

There was a place which people live.

We were regarded as the honored guest and treated Sutaychay by them.

  A little black goat.

In every village, there was mini temples.

Cuz the Mongolian national region is just Lamaism.

The girl wearing sky blue one liked photography.

When I was gonna take pictures, she ran to me and requested me photo. so she was cute.

 A village covered with clouds.

I thought the altitute would be about over 1,000 m

The greatest hero of Mongolian, Chinggis Khaan.

I lied on the bottom as 大 figure and took a photo of myself.

But there was excrements of the sheeps, goats.

 Shit! How dirty!!

 Fifth day in Mongolia.

On the day, we finished all missions and went back to Ulaanbaatar.

At the moment, we stopped and took a rest.

By the way, a camel pitifully cried.

Explosion the 'Camel Crouch' to the camel!

When I touched him, I felt as I touched the Korean subway seat.

The seat is made by the leather of camel?

 With a camel.

Filally we had arrived in Ulaanbaatar!

On the last day, we dropped at the Gandang Lama temple.

On the time, cuz I moved in group and I wasn't smart at the background about Mongolia, I didn't know whether the temple is Mongolian icon or not. but I thought it would be right.

In the temple, there was a weird buddha statue which had multi arms.

And I went to the history museum and was taken a picture with a Mongolian beauty. :)

By the way, on that time, suddenly, the museum went out of the electronic power.

The picture of Chinggis Khaan was drawn on the mountain.

It's time to go back home.

 Bayartay, Mongol!!

I thought it was glory for me that I gotta ride the plane one more time on the time.

The Chinese mountains such as a landscape.

While I was in the plane, I didn't know whether I would be able to go the trip or not.

 Epilogue

After I finished the mission, I kept in touch frequently with Ulzii by E-mail.

At first, I studied the Cyrillic characters and Mongolian to understand her and Mongolia.

I was gonna study the Cyrillic characters but I gotta extend to Russian language.

Therefore, she understood Russian well more than English. so, finally, I gotta transfer to Russian language and be interested in the USSR.(Once, Mongolia was an orbit of the USSR.)

In a couple years, I gotta leave for Ukraine on 9th February.

I didn't expect that the trip would bring me the strong relations.

But, I'm not being able to go to Mongolia since the mission trip.

Somedays, I need to there once again but I'm being able to meet the chance.

 Somedays, I will visit Mongolia.

By either personal trip or mission trip....(I think the former will be higher probablity than the later.)

 Bayarlalla, Mongol!!(Thank you, Mongolia!!)
